I can use [Alt] + [Ins] to Copy Source,
but no combination keys to get translation from memory.
Anybody knows?

Assign one yourself Jun 1, 2005

Hi Alvin,
Welcome to ProZ.com.

I assume your question refers to using Workbench with MS Word.

You can assign a shortcut yourself (Tools - Customize - Keyboard). IIRC the macro you should be looking for is tw4winGetTranslation.Main.

HTH, Ralf

I am working with Tageditor Jun 1, 2005

Hi,Ralf
Thanks for your quick reply, but actually I am doing my job in Tageditor. So, there is no such a customization.

Hope new version Trados can support this feature Jun 1, 2005

I think it is easy for Trados developers to provide this feature, but why not?

Using a macro recorder like MacroMagic you could assign the menu shortcuts (underlined characters) Alt+b and Alt+g to a key you rarely need for other purposes.
There are many macro recorders available on the web, some of them are even free.
I am using an old version of MacroMagic which was already so useful and flexible, that its macros could bypass its own shareware constraints..

An immediate solution would be to press Alt+b and Alt+g manually..

Macro Magic does well Jun 2, 2005

Thank you, Harry_B.

With Macro magic 4.1, I record key strokes (Alt+B and then + G) to achieve the desire result.
But I still hope Trados can directly support the feature, and free me from using a 3-rd party software.
