Is there a shortcut for starting the translation or continuing it when segments are closed? Today I had a large file, where at some places were line-breaks in the target segment. Every time Trados stopped and I had to click in the tool bar to continue after I mended the segment.
In Wordfast the normal key combinations work even when no segment is open.

And another question; how to toggle between windows inside Word without clicking with the mouse? There must be a key combinati

Hi!
There is a very useful list of shortcuts at:
http://www.translationzone.com/download.asp
Look up the section DOCUMENTATION

As for toggling, you could try ALT + TAB

Hope this helps.

Ctrl + F6 -> toggles among the word documents you have opened

Trados:
Alt+Start -> opens segment
Alt+Ins -> copies segment in translation window
Alt++ -> closes segment and opens next segment
Alt+End -> closes segment

Alt + start Jun 17, 2005

I believe it is actually Alt + Home. There is no start on my keyboard and I use Home.

HTH,
Burrell

I like to use my own shortcuts, for a lot of reasons.

Perhaps the best reason for making these shortcuts is that you relieve your right hand, so you can hold a mug of coffee while proofreading a document! This way you can proofread very concentrated and still relaxing!

You make them as follows:
1) Select Tools, Customize

2) Click the button labelled \"Keyboard\" (a window labelled \"Customize Keyboard will appear)

3) Scroll down in the \"Categories\" box & select \"Macros\" (the list of macros will appear to the right)

4) Select the macro you wish to change, and type the appropriate key combination in the input box labelled \"Press new shortcut key:\"

5) Click \"Assign\"

6) Click \"Close\"
