Ole/com error

Hi everyone again,

I am trying to clean my translation. However, everytime I try to do it I get the error message "translation could not be cleaned due to ole/com error or file name error".

I have changed the file name and I have given it another go. But it doesn't work either.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Hi Estefania,

Have you tried cleaning it running the Word macro tw4winClean.Main under Tools (in Word)-Macros? That will clean up your document, but not update your TM, so save a copy of your document first, if you want to change anything to the translation units later.

Hi Estefania,
Could you please provide more details?

- Which file format are you working on?
- If it's Word, can you save the Word file to RTF?
- Which Trados version are you using (full version number, please - see Help - About... to check).

I am using Trados 6.5, and the text it is a .doc file.
