Hello all

When I try to load the Word spellchecker in Tag Editor 7.1 I get the following message: "failed to load Word spelling checker plug-in. -2147418113: catastrophic failure. This plug-in will be disabled."

I am running Windows XP and Office 2000

Anyone got any ideas as to what to do?

The WinterTree spellchecker does work, however. Is it any good?

thanks and best regards

Just guessing Jan 23, 2006

You may have opened and closed MS Word in between. If this si the reason, simply close the TagEditor, activate the Task Manager (by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del), stop the winword.exe process on the Processes tab, and re-open the TagEditor.

HTH

No, doesn't work Jan 23, 2006

Doesn't work I'm afraid. It may be that this "catastrophic failure" has disabled something permanently.

Is it Traods or Word? Jan 23, 2006

If the Word spellchecker works OK in Word itself, I'd try to reinstall Trados then.
