Hello everyone,

First of all, I am using Trados 6.5.5.438 and Word 2000.

I am adding corrections to a Word document which was previously translated by the agency. So, there are a lot of 100% matches and in this case, the Translate to fuzzy command is very useful.

But this file has head and footnotes which are not homogeneous trough the document (there are 3 or 4 different footnotes), so I have to be careful not to overlook them.

I know head and footnotes are seen in the print layout view and not in the normal one. But when I use the command Translate to fuzzy, the print layout view toggles automatically into the normal one.

Does anyone know how to avoid this annoyance?

Thanks in advance,

Carmen

As designed Feb 9, 2006

Hi Carmen,
This is as designed, with no workaround - given repagination in Print Layout, Translate to Fuzzy would be much slower, particularly for longer documents.

But this file has head and footnotes which are not homogeneous trough the document (there are 3 or 4 different footnotes), so I have to be careful not to overlook them.

Are you referring to header and footer? Footnotes are also captured in Normal view.

You can translate and/or edit headers and footers in one go, as you can jump from section to section when viewing them.

HTH, Ralf

I see, than I will follow your advice and do my best.

Thanks a lot!

PS Yes, I guess I was referring to headers and footersicon_smile.gif
