Version of Workbench doesn't support TM version

Hi everybody!

I work with TRADOS 6.5. and the client gave me a TM made in TRADOS 7. An error occurs with the message gave in the subject of this topic.

What can I do? How can I obtain the TM .txt file so as to import it in Trados 6.5. Workbench?

Upgrade or Exchange vie txt/TMX Apr 20, 2006

Hello,

you have 2 possibilities.

1. Update your Trados version.
2. Ask your client for an Export of the memory. (!: The txt Export format rfrom Trados 7 is unicode, so your client must export for old Trados versions (2- 6) or send you an TMX Export)

Ask the client for TM export in txt format Apr 20, 2006

or send the TM to someone with your language pair and Trados 7 to do the export for you.

Export in txt format may be always imported, there are no compatibility issues (provided the export was not made with Trados 7 format), so you can import it even with much older version of Trados.

Make sure he exports the TM in a 6.X format and on in a 7.x format!
