Hello,

Does anyone know how it is possible to retrieve programmatically the results of a Concordance Search run on a Translation Memory open in Translator´s Workbench?

Scenario: There is no Read-only TM defined as Reference TM in Concordance options. The Concordance window is invoked and uses the open TM in Translator´s Workbench.

Thanks.

BR,
SK

The only way I know of is using the Windows API or the SendKeys command to copy and paste the contents of the Concordance window.

Good luck!

If the problem is "no Read-only TM defined as Reference TM " May 24, 2006

then (my) workaround is, to build one single TM (call it work or temp) and then use it to do the actual translation.

When finished, do not forget to update the real TM with the bilingual document and delete the workTM.

The alternative is to keep an "EverythingTM", but that smacks of the proverbial shoebox approach.

You haven't told us why/in what situation you want to open the concordance window. If you did, it might be easier to help you. Anyway, Trados comes with an API that can be used to "remote-control" the software.

Benjamin
