Is there an autosave option for Tageditor or Trados Workbench?

Hello,

I know, I know. Workbench saves the contents of the TM real-time, so even when computer will crash, you will not lose anything. ONLY WHEN you work with Word.

But this is not a case when you work with Tageditor and Workbench (version 7.1 here). After my computer crashed, I lost document in Tageditor and contents of TM in Workbench.

Maybe there is no option of autosave but where can I find the real-time backup of Tageditor file OR TM in Workbench?... See more

Tags that you set/close next open/get in Tag Editor should auto save to the TM that Workbench is using, so that they are retrievable regardless of power failures.

Tag Editor has not catered for autosaving the .ttx file yet. Maybe the Trados folks will cater for this in later releases.

Unfortunately, not always. It has been discussed in another thread and this is what happened to Alex.

Alex - I think you should simply save often and make backup files when you finish at the end of the day, for example.
