Dear Colleagues!

I have to translate a file in WordPerfect (.DT extension). I would like to use Trados for this, but I do not know how.
Ihave a full version of WordPerfect (12) and of Trados (2006).

There is anyone if it is possible?

Thank you very much in advance.

Best Regards.

Never heard of it Sep 19, 2006

So WP is already in version 12. I had to stop using it when it was 6.1.
You need either Word or TagEditor. Save from WP as Word rtf format and open it in Word or TE. After translation and cleanup you can open the result in WP and save it as WP-file.
But perhaps I'm wrong and TE can open WP-files directly.

Heinrich

There is no compatibility Sep 19, 2006

Hi Heinrich,

thank you for your answer. After placing the question I continued looking for information in our archive: Yes, there is no chance of working directly with WP-Files.

Converting them to rtf is no solution, as I could see: formating got lost.

It´s a pity, but this time I will have to work altogether without CAT´s

Regards

Clara
