Multiterm is unable to add the entry

That is the error message I've been receiveing today. Never had it before.
Trados 7 build 615, Multiterm 7.0.2 Build 327, Windows XP, Word 2003.
Any hints?

Recently upgraded your Java or .NET Framework? Nov 21, 2006

If you upgraded you Java Runtime Environment or NET Framework and the old versions were removed, that you have the reason.
You MUST have JRE 1.4.2_08 and .NET Framework 1.1.
You MAY have the latest NET Framework, but then, however, all other NET Framework should be deinstalled. Or at least it is how I understood what I read on SDL Support site.

kick out updates Nov 21, 2006

same trouble here.
the java and net Jerzy mentions are on my disk; first I thougt it was the latest java update (_o9) that did it, so I had that removed; but no good.
Then I had a look at my most recent (18/11) windows updates; there were three security updates; after kicking these out (and restarting) the Word-MT connection was restored.
damn those things

I can't remember making any update these two last days and until today everything was working fine. Anyway, I just downloaded the java-version Jerzy recommended (thanks a lot), didn't uninstall any other still existing Java, restartet the pc and it worked!
I decided not to understand the phenomenon, I just want/need it working)
