When I save xtg file in the target language or clean the file the French accents are not displayed at all or not displayed correctly in the clean file.
I am at a loss. I emailed trados support but no answer. Any suggestions?

As your XTG output is only temporary and the end product is a Quark Xpress file it would make sense to check the accents in that file. It's not unlikely that they are going to be perfectly fine once the XTG has been imported into Quark.

Same problem in Quark Xpress Jan 23, 2007

To get around the PM has to create a new TM, clean the file in the TM, take the source file and retranslate using TagEditor. Then everything is fine. They don't get it either. It does not happen with files sent by other French translators. It is why I assume it is some kind of setting on my part.
Thank you
