why does multiterm extract take so much of time

Halo! I had started with the extraction of about 40 files last night around 03:00 and now it is already almost 23:00 the process is still not complete. I use Xeon dual processors with 4GB working memory. I wanted to know whether this tool generally is slow or am I doing something wrong Best Brandis
