I have almost reached the end of a file and Trados no longer opens the translation segments. There is the message 'previous request not yet finished' in the Trados box. Can anybody offer any suggestions how to resolve the problem?
The file is a Word file and the Trados version is Freelance 6.5.
Many thanks
Stephen Mewes

go there and delete any bookmark with Trados or TW in its name. As the program says, the last request isn't finished yet, it has a bookmark left there.

what about "repair document"?
Feb 11, 2007
There is the message 'previous request not yet finished' in the Trados box.
There's been some "misunderstanding" with TRADOS marks, but nothing the "repair document" in the Trados menu could not fix.
I think this is safer than doing the fix-ups yourself as Jerzy suggests.
Of course I assume 6.5 knows"repair document" - but given my limited experience, I dare to say this command must have been with TRADOS since day one.

fix document certainly does not fix it

I have Trados 2007 And suddenly I start getting this error message all the time. First, a strange marking appears, then this message appears. And no amount of "fixing document" helps at all? What is happening?
There are no bookmarks either, and not even closing the document without saving changes and starting from scratch will help - the same thing happens.

with some help- error code 80001
Sep 5, 2007
from a good client with a Trados genius on staff: This problem was caused by a corrupt TM, and the fix goes like this:
Edit: We first tried converting to Tag Editor, which caused a new error message - the one with the code displayed here. When I deleted that portion of the TM, it all worked again.

Different solution to similar problem...

... I encountered working with Word and Trados. After the first attempt to go to the next segment Trados warns that 'Previous request not yet finished'. I didn't have that one installed in my system and Trados could not cope with that. Installing the missing font solved the problem... See more
