I have quite a dilemma - around 60 000 words of .xlf files done in TagEditor. The client exported the files into MS Word, and there are small but numerous changes that need to be inserted after the validator's final review for that MS Word file where the validator marked his changes with MS Word Track Changes function. Is there any possibility to update these .xlf files in any easier and simplier way instead of finding sentences changed in MS Word, then copying them, opening TagEditor file and pasting (replacing) the old translation?

1. First, do the same your client did (export the original file(s) --without translation-- into MS Word), and save it as "Source file".
2. Now open the validator file(s) and accept all his changes on MS Word. Save as "Target file".
3. Use WinAlign between the Target file and the Source file.
4. Once you have a new MS Word file(s) with Trados translation, clean it updating the TM, or do it on a new TM.
5. Finally, open the original .xlf file(s) (the client first sent) with TagEditor, and click "Fuzzy matches".

All this should work, unless a better colleague's advice.
