I am using TagEditor 2006 with Trados Workbench 7.5 on .resx and .html files.

For some reason I do not seem able to search and replace terms in the .resx files or the .ttx files that are generated.

I can find a particular term, but I need to physically open the segment with Trados in order to make a change to the target segment.

Is there anyway to search and replace terms in TagEditor automatically?

Remove protection May 1, 2007

Tools - Options - Protection.
I never use protection and have had no complications so far. You can Replace all or replace stepwise.
Cheers

How to f"ind and replace" in an Unclean Trados file ? May 9, 2007

I am proofreading an unclean Trados file. My customer needs the "unclean" file. I would like to use the "find and replace" option but do not know how to save my changes in the TM without cleaning the file ? Is this possible ?

Thanks a lot for your inputs,

Tere

Work as usual, do any changes you need May 9, 2007

save the file with the same name (this is a MUST!).
Then save the same file under a different name (billingual), and use this one for actualizing your TM (via cleanup).

Jerzy
