I use TRADOS 7 Freelance
Iwas wondering please .. when I analyse a file if I can highlight the repetitions or something similar.
I just analysed a file and it give 38% repetitions .. how can I bring them up ??

Thanks and hope this is not a repeat question
Jen

You can export them May 17, 2007

Use the export function, either for new or for known text after analysis.

Thanks! May 17, 2007

Thanks - I tried that
I was hoping there was some other option .. where I could then translate those repeated parts first ... or copy them to another word file.
But the file that Trados creates is similar to a TM memory so I cannot work on that .. am I correct?.

Probably I was asking too much lol =))

Thanks anyway and have a good day!

Jenny

I don't see why you shouldn't be able to use search and replace in Wordpad on the text file, but the repetitions will not be highlighted of course. May I ask why you want to translate them separately or have them highlighted? Maybe we can help you better then. They will come up as green segments once you start translating though, but you already know that.

Best regards
Anette

I'm missing something then .. May 17, 2007

The job is tens of table which have no specific order .. so I was trying to see if I could save any time grouping at least the fuzzy translations.

The exported wordpad file doesn't help me at all.

I must be thick --- but when I translate with the pre-translation option it only translates the 100% - so I have no "green" -- only 100% and original text.

In my translation options I have:

copy source on no match - flagged

Updating Attribute and text Fiels = merge
changed translation unit = merge

If it would translate the fuzzy text in green that could be useful indeed!

Thank you and sorry for being so dumb!

I am always so run over with work that I never have time to find out more what Trados can actually do !

Have a nice day

Jenny

ok sorry - found that I had it on 100% -- now I have the green lol.

I will read the help sections further to see if I can do anything about finding the repetitions!

thanks
