Trados won't load saved registry settings during automation

Hi,

I'm trying to automate Trados using COM automation, and this works well. However, when I save the DTD settings to the registry using SettingsManager.Manager.SaveToRegistry and try to load them again using LoadFromRegistry (both when the same TW4Win.Application session is active), Trados won't load the settings which were saved before. The settings are loaded only after TW4Win.Application.Quit and restart using ObjCreate. This is very annoying. Does anybody know if I'm doing something wrong here or if this is a Trados bug?

Extra info: Trados 2006 on Windows XP.

Thanks a lot in advance.

I read it like this May 18, 2007

The TW4WinApplication object seems to read the registry entries only once and that is during the creation of the instance. Whatever the LoadRegistry command does, it is not seen / is ignored by the instance.

Probably for some real good reasons too...

regards
