Corrupted characters from TM import file. Trados 6.5

Hi,

After having imported an ASCII (not unicode) file into my regular, large TM, I get corrupted characters, when closing each Trados segment. The characters are displayed correctly on the screen - but when closing segment, they go haywire.

I would really appreciate your help.
