Hi! I made a really big mistake and translated the file directly in word... Can I change it? Please help me...

What would mean that after translation your Word file was billingual?
If so, this is the uncleaned file your customer demands.
Did you translate the Word file as usual, without Trados, you will indeed need to use Winalign, to get the results as fast as possible.
But please calm down and try to describe what have you done and what are you attempting to do as precise as you can. Better you write more than less ... See more What would mean that after translation your Word file was billingual?

Still not sure what you mean by "moving" it into Trados. Trados is an application, not a file format.
If you need to create a bilingual file from monolingual source and target, you will need to align the two, as suggested by Evija. If your client cannot use the resulting project TM, you can 're-translate' the source file using the aligned TM.
Is that what you're looking for?

Before starting the WnAlign project make sure, that:[list]
your source and target Word file have identical formatting (styles)
your sentence order (called segmentation) is absolute identical in both files[/link]

You didn't indicate which operating system or Trados version you're using, so I'm assuming Windows XP and SDL Trados 2006.

When you translate a Word file using Trados, you are doing exactly what your client have requested. Nevertheless, before delivering the translation you should do the following:
As soon as you translate the complete Word file make a copy of it. Thus, you would have:
1) Original.doc
2) Original-translation.doc
3) Copy of Original-translation.doc

You should clean only one of the translations, and the second one, let it as is.
I believe you are new in Trados, aren't you? You should know that when using Trados Workbench for translating a word file you will always obtain an unclean file first . This is the "uncleaned file" your client is requesting you. If you make a copy of that file, and clean it using the trados feature TOOLS > CLEAN UP, you'll obtain the clean file requested by your client.

If you did and then cleaned the file, your translation is IN your Trados TM (Workbench).
You just need to retranslate the English file using the Trados translation memory (Workbench). Click the "Translate to Fuzzy" button, and you'll have the unclean file.
If you did not use Trados, then, start "WinAlign" and follow the steps.
