Is it necessary to use the clean up function at the end of a translation?

The reason I ask is because the TM is updated automatically as you go through the document so I'm not sure what clean up does exactly.

In Word, go to Tools/Options/View and tick Hidden text, and you might have a clearer ideaicon_smile.gif!

The cleanup removes the source text.

Is that what you meant?
