Dear all

on this rainy Saturday afternoon I've just received a .pdf file from a customer, which I converted into a Word file with Abbyy FineReader 8.0. I've adjusted the file, eliminating all column interruptions, all the headings and other odd formatting of the text. It looks like a plain Word document.

Yet I cannot get SDLX to create an .itd file. I've selected and copied-pasted it all into a new Word file, changed the font to an ordinary Times, but nothing changed. I still can't get it work.

Have you already met and solved the problem?

That would be quite urgent, since it's a long and complicated job, which I should start asap

Thanks a lot.

Resave Word file as RTF? Nov 25, 2007

SDLX likes rtfs.

A "shot in the dark", but it might help.

Good luck.

Chris

I've solved it. Nov 25, 2007

Thanks, Chris. I had already tried saving it as an RTF file, but it didn't work.

I finally resolved myself to save it as .txt and it worked. I will reformat the text once the translation is complete.
