Does Trados 7.0 run under Word 2007?

Hello,

I have to update from Office 2003 to Office 2007 and heard that Trados 7.0 does not work with Word 2007. Is this true?

And if I update to SDL Trados 2007, can I use my old databases (tmw-files)?

I would also appreciate hearing any comments about the new SDL Trados, i.e. if you are satsified with it, if there are any problems, advantages etc..

As far as I tried, they are not compatible Feb 13, 2008

I have installed my Trados 7.1 in a laptop that has MS office 2007, it seems that word does not recognise the Trados at all. However, if you are using TagEditor, it is fine running on Vista.

I have read in Trados website saying that they are not compatible, you will need 2007 version to run with MS office 2007.

When I tried to work with Trados 7 and Office 2007 on Vista, I saw that although Word recognised Trados and contained both the toolbar and the menu of Trados, for some mysterious reason the segments would simply not open. So, I went back to Word 2003...

but you must use TRADOS8.dotm instead of TRADOS8.dot
so the best procedure is to unisntall SDL Trados 2007 and reinstall it
(and after reinstall SP2)
