Amazing solution from Tomas - worked perfectly for me. Aug 29, 2009

I had the same problem and Tomas' solution fixed it in less than a minute. Don't let some of the messages during the re-registering process, which look like error messages discourage you. In the end it will be fixed.
THANKS!
Jana

Here we go again Aug 29, 2009

I have the same problem, just that one year later. Maybe during this time some of you found another solution. I tried Tomas' solution and although it executed the bat file, it did not work.

This is what I have:
Windows XP SP2
SDL Trados Synergy 8.3.161.0
Multiterm Desktop Version 8.0
Licences are active and tested fine.

Could the problem be having two versions of TRADOS installed, 2006 and 2007?

I have an identical installation of the Suite at the office but no previous one, and the convert function works fine. Just wondering...

Problem with multiterm conversion 2007 "unhandled exception" Oct 6, 2009

Hello everyone,

I've got the same problem and I tried the steps explained above (I executed both .bat files). It didn't work.

I have the SDL MultiTerm 2007 7.5.0.444 working on Windows Vista x64 bits. It's the only problem I've encountered so far, everything but that is working fine.

Please, help!!!

Re-run the registering batch file works! Oct 20, 2009

Thank you, Tomas!
You are the best!
I've just run #_SelfRegister.bat and everything is working great.
(Win XP SP3 + MultiTerm 7.0.1 + Trados 8.3.0.863)

Multiterm 2007 and TRADOS Suite 2007 Freelance Oct 21, 2009

Jerzy Czopic, a very knowledgeable colleage from Proz, warned me about conflicts between MT2007 and TRADOS Suite 2007. He was right. I had downloaded the wrong MT version. I downloaded MT 2009 and I was able to run all the options of the application.
