I tried finding a demo version of trados but was unsuccessul. You can download a free demo version of wordfast if your just looking for a CAT tool. It can be used indefinitely but has a limited TM. It's supposedly limited to 500 translation units but I've gotten much more out of it. Since I couldn't find a demo, I've never used trados but it seems a lot of people finde wordfast better.

But if you want to translate TTX (TagEditor) files with a cheaper program, try Swordfish (current beta version is free, but it might stop working once the pay version is out).

Have any of you seen demos for other SDL products? If so please refer me to them. I am forever getting e-mails promoting Global Information Management tools to link up with TW and MultiTerm, but when I asked if I could actually see how they worked, it seems like I was asking for the moon!

Trados 2007- are there any free demos still online anymore? | Apr 21, 2012 |
Hi, I have been going round in circles trying to download the Trados 2007 demo version but it keeps sending me back to the 2011 version. I have googled, looked on the SDl website, all the other translation websites but to no use.... Does anybody know what link will work?!!! I need to do some coursework using this old version of SDL. Please help... Thanks
