narodnjaci vs. zabavnjaci | Aug 2, 2004 |
narodna musika = folk music novokomponovana narodna muzika je muzika koja lici na narodnu, ali joj se zna autor zabavna musika = obuhvata uglavnom sve ono sto nije narodna i nije ozbiljna muzika (pop, rock, hip-hop, raggae i mnogo toga jos) ozbiljna muzika = classics
Country/Top 40 | Aug 2, 2004 |
In case you don't speak Serbian, here is another explanation: It's sort of like the difference between country and top 40 music in the US. Narodna muzika is folk music. It sometimes has silly lyrics, about love, drinking, betrayal and themes associated with these topics, just like country music in the US. Zabavna muzika is all other contemporary music, including popular hits from other countries.

Puno Hvala I came up with this topic because I was confused why in www.clubparada.com some Serbian songs such as Karleusa's "Zene vole dijamante" and "Ludaca" are regarded as "narodne" while a lot of Ceca Slavkovic's and Zeljko Joksimovic's songs are regarded as "zabavne". RafaLee ps. Govorim i razumem jugoslovenski jezik malo.

A sevdalinke? | Aug 6, 2004 |
