A few weeks back I replied to a forum post about a macro that allowed you to automatically get a google translation for a segment in trados. I can no longer find this forum post and my reply is not in my forum history.

Do forum posts somtimes get removed?
Could the person who made this post contact me as I can't disinstall the macro.

Have you tried the SDL Trados support forum? Nov 25, 2009

Hello NR_Stedman,

Forums posts that are not in line with site rules may be removed by site staff or moderators.

The "Adding Google Translate to Trados Workbench" thread you mention was removed for not being in line with site rule #3.

I suggest you try the SDL Trados support forum for the issue you mention.

Hope this helps.

Advertising - yes or no Nov 25, 2009

Hi Lucia,

I'd very much appreciate if you stated more precisely in which way the posting in question constituted advertising. At any rate, the posting headline alone would not have been sufficient to breach the no-advertising rule since it merely referred to adding another, supplementary tool to Trados. Otherwise we'd have to stop any Trados-related discussion for good, too, because it also refers to (advertises?) a product.

Software promotion Nov 25, 2009

Hi Steffen,

Just to clarify, the thread in question promoted a software that had a price attached.

Now, as for forum rule #14, I am locking this thread.
