Was looking for an electronic not online dictionary for Slovenian. Since there is no Slovenian forum, I am posting in this forum instead. It is hard to google these things these days, due to all commercial clutter. As usual I get a host of online, talking, portable, etc. dictionaries for sale. That's not what I want. I want something to install on my laptop to take with me, when the Internet is not an option.

Any clues.

Thanks a ton in advance.

Yes, on CD or downloadable from an Internet site. Price is immaterial, provided not unreasonable. Quality is of the essence though. Slovenian to English.
I can't even lay my hands on a good hard-copy version, not at Amazon, not nowhere. Any help?

It is the same products DZS offers. I am using them all the time. All of it is the reference material. You can also have a look online at Euroterm and Eurocorpus (provided by the Slovenian government):

Thanks everyone for your input.

I also really need a substantial hardback/paperback Slovenian into any of the major European languages, or Danish/Swedish.

I have the Tomac, I believe is the author, which I was able to purchase thankfully. It was also recommended by the embassy here.

The largest general paperback Slovenian>English dictionary that I know of is basically the one that's included in the digital DZS product that was referenced above.

You'll find that all Slovenian paperbacks are pricey due to the tiny market they're printed for, and if you're set on building up an offline dictionary collection, I'd recommend you focus on more specialized dictionaries (such as the engineering dictionary http://www.tzs.si/eknjigarna/product_info.php?products_id=410 ).

The specialized dictionaries appear to be well edited and updated, which is more than I could say for most of the general ones.
