Windows XP, Trados 2006, Tag Editor (from PowerPoint file), DNS 9.
It's working most of the time, but I often get "Dictating to a non-standard window". This is particularly frustrating because the "Results box" (the small yellow window that appears on-screen as you dictate) has perfectly understood what I have said. It just refuses to paste it in.
Is there any way of getting round this?
Regards,

Carlos.

One way round it is to use the 'Dictation Box' Dec 2, 2007

I have had the same experience as you and I find that it does work most of the time, but not all the time.

One suggestion I would make is that you can use the 'dictation box' plus the 'transfer' command, which works but is a bit slower.

I now tend to use the dictation box only in cases where the text does not 'paste in' immediately.

I use one of the 'Function' keys as a keyboard shortcut to open the dictation box. I then hit 'F12' (which I've assigned to opening the dictation box) as soon as I see that the text is not being pasted into TagEditor correctly.

You can close the 'dictation box' just as quickly when you no longer need it by hitting 'Esc'.

Good luck,
Paul
