Corel Draw: save as SVG creates PNG images?

Hi all,

In a separate thread, I posted my findings on how to export text from Corel Draw (X3 - latest version).

I got the best results when exporting to SVG.

But I noticed that some objects, like diagrams, has editable text in Corel Draw (ie it's not flattened, but has some kind of embedded text layer!), but the text doesn't follow to the SVG.
Instead, the diagram is saved like an image in PNG format.
I wonder why, and if there's any way to make sure all text is dumped to SVG, even the one contained in images?

OK, I can still work directly in the Corel interface and replace the text line by line, but then I won't benefit from any CAT tool.

Solutions, workarounds?!

I've given up on Jabberwock's suggestion to use the Extract Text function, it's simply too buggy. I even wrote a complaint about it to Corel, let's see what they say.

/Jan
