My son would like to know how the Spanish version of Toy Story 3 handles the part where Buzz Lightyear, in the English version, is 'reset' and begins to speak Spanish. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year!

Haha! What a lovely question! Jan 3, 2011

I have really enjoyed that film -it was the first one I went with and share with my little son- and I hope I am not confusing things, but in the Latin American version, as I've watched it in Argentina, Buzz starts to speak in "Castillian Spanish", the Spanish that is spoken in Spain!!
I am curious now to know how it was handled in the European Spanish version... was it the opposite way?
Happy New Year for you, Anna, and for everybody!

Andalusian gipsy accent, "source dialect" of Flamenco Jan 3, 2011

I just checked in youtube, not a bad choice in my opinion:

Great Idea Jan 3, 2011

Thank you all for sharing this. I hadn't thought about it before, but having seen the clip on Youtube, I think it works well. They cleverly maintain the humour seamlessly.
