Hi everybody. I would like to attend a course in Great Britain or Ireland to improve my English for my job.
I have been mainly a teacher, but I started working as a translator and interpreters 3 years ago and I like this job very much!!
I would like to make it my main job because teaching is becoming quite boring to me...but that is another question...
Has anybody attended special courses?

I attended the University of East Anglia's English and translation summer school in 2003. I quite liked the course, they offered advanced English, creative writing, British culture, translation theory and practical translation courses. The City University in London also offers short courses in the summer. They have English to Italian media translation for example.

Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh has an intensive advanced English course with translation and interpreting courses.

Hi everybody. I would like to attend intensive summer interpretation and translation course(Arabic into English and vice versa) in any University in Great Britain
I am studying in University of Jordan. My major is (Applied English) undergraduate
3.5 out of 4. I want to be a translator and interpreter.
Please help me because I don't have any idea about that

Hello, I'm starting this topic again. Anyway, I'm from Croatia, I teach English at school and I am also a translator (English-Croatian and vice versa). I'm looking for a summer course somewhere in Britain, just to improve my language skills.
Can you recommend some courses that you attended and that were useful to you?

im an italian student currently attending a two-year Master´s Degree in Graz (Austria) but i have several difficulties in translating from German into English and vice versa. Are there somewhere any specific summer courses I could attend?

Does anyone know of any summer courses in Spain for Spanish > English translators? I've seen one at Tandem, but it has a large focus on sworn translation and runs at an inconvenient time for me. All the others I've come across are for English > Spanish. Any ideas?

Hi everybody!
I am studying Turkish as I would like to add it to my combination. Do you know if there is any Turkish course for interpreters? I already have a MA in Conference Interpreting and I think that applying again to a university would be a waste of time...
