I would like to have more information about this matter.
Thank you in advance

Not for direct import

Hello Anne,
the SDLXLIFF Converter can only re-import Excel files that have been previously exported from Studio.
If you want to import a bilingual Excel file into a translation memory (I guess that's what you want to do?), you need an external tool, such as the TMBuilder which can export Excel files into TMX.

The first reason I want to do this, is because I consider that MS Word much more unstable is as Excel when your are working with tables. The crash possibility by Word is much higher. Hello Stanislav,
thanks a lot for your quick answer.
The first reason I want to do this, is because I consider that MS Word much more unstable is as Excel when your are working with tables. The crash possibility by Word is much higher. I don't feel sure by saving... I had big problems before with Word 2003. It's much better with 2007 but may be I have a trauma!
The second reason is that Antidote (french checker) doesn't select correctly the column to check in Word. It takes the whole bilingual text (however with different colours). Very unpleasant. In Excel, it works perfect.
