I have a Transit NXT project including a Termstar dictionary. The dictionary includes only the source terms, and I need to enter the translations of these terms in the dictionary.
I have language pairs that include all necessary translations.

Which is the smartest method to enter the target terms into the dictionary?

I cannot / do not want to use the "rapid entry"-mode, since this will lead to double entries in the dictionary.
The only way I know of is going into the dictionary and editing the entries by right-clicking (and then writing the target terms into the dictionary).
But I hope there is a smarter solution (other than exporting/importing the dic) ...

Using a macro is a great help Feb 15, 2010

In both XV and NXT, we use a very useful, time saving macro:
(after manually highlighting both target and then source terms, press the selected macro short cut, and the macro does the following steps:)

- Enters the selected terms
(in NXT Terminology | Creation | Insert selected,
in XV Edit | Transfer marked terms to Dictionary),
- Sets the cursor back in the target editor window, so that one can continue working on the text immediately.

This macro helps a lot and makes entering terms very fast and easy.

Hopefully, this would be helpful for you

Thanks and regrds
