I have pretranslated files and before I start my translation, I want to check these pretranslated segments by jumping from one to another. There is a button "Go To Next Translated/ Checked Segment", but I have noticed, that it works only with newly translated segments.
Any ideas or suggestions?
The files are large and it's quite punishing to look after pretranslated segments manually and I don't want to miss anything.

Transit has powerfull filtering options Jul 30, 2010

Hi,

Simply, you can use the filtering options to filter the text upon many criteria.
Pretranslation is a very simple one.

Here is how to do what you want:

View | Segment filter | Segment Attribute filter (third tab right) |
then check the check box "Edited by",
then choose "Pretranslation",
Press Apply filter.
Only segments with pretranslations will be displayed.

There is a button in the 3rd upper (view) menu bar. This the button on the left of the black goggles button.

You can use this button to both activate\deactivate filters.

Best regards
Your ATT

Use the processing steps offered by Transit Aug 11, 2010

Transit offers you different processing steps for translating / revewing in the Edit menu. You can use them for proofreading. E.g. you can use the processing step "Check 1" to review the complete file, while using the alt + ins key combination will allow then you to jump to the next segment with a status that is lower than the one you selected. The status of the pretranslated segments should be "translated" if your customer has not changed the basic settings of Transit regarding this.
