Get focus back in the red target language box faster after Rapid entry

When I add a new term pair via Rapid entry:

- I have to press Enter a second time to close the dialog (I prefer the old setting in Transit 2.7 for this ...)

- It takes some seconds before I can continue translating.

Are there any ways to get focus back in the red target language box faster?

I mean: Apart from asking STAR to handle this in a separate thread? (Which I already did ...)
