Hi all, the WA branch of AUSIT is hosting a trados workshop on Saturday 13 March at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle. Details below:

WA Branch
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
“Introducing and getting to know Trados”

Presented by
Danièle Heinen
Experienced technical translator, editor & project manager
(Certified ATA English-French, MBA)

This workshop is designed for all translators who have been thinking about investing in a CAT tool to enhance their efficiency. Danièle will adapt the session according to the experience and background knowledge of the participants, providing an introduction for those completely new to it and a quick reminder for those who already possess the basics; if appropriate, she will then move on to some of the more advanced functions such as text alignment, term extraction, terminology management with MultiTerm and tagged documents with TagEditor. You will also learn how to use the software with different source file formats and create a termbase from a glossary in Xcel.
Attendance at this workshop will earn AUSIT members 10 PD points.
