Dear colleagues,

Some reasons to visit to AUSIT D-DAY EXPO professional development and networking event in Canberra, at the ANU University House on 11 November 2011:

Presentations and hands-on demonstrations of translator tools, court interpreting, future Code of Ethics and the T/I profession.

Trade displays of key industry stakeholders.

National language service providers (e.g. TIS National), tertiary educators (e.g.Monash University), government agencies (e.g.Centrelink) will be present. This is your chance to mix and mingle with translation service users, ask them questions and learn how they operate.

Take advantage of this prime networking opportunity with your peers, language services users and language service providers. Commercial translation agencies, representatives from government departments, universities and private enterprise will be there to speak to translation service providers such as yourself! Don’t miss the opportunity to find out about the latest trends in the industry. For the full programme go to: http://www.ausitawards.org/html/program.html

Registrations for the AUSIT D-Day Expo and Gala Dinner close on 9th November. However it would be a great help to the organisers to know the numbers in advance. To access the registration form go to http://www.ausitawards.org/html/register.html

If you choose to send the form by mail, make sure it arrives before November 9.

For more details visit www.ausitawards.org

Or feel free to contact me for more information.
