I doubt that interpreters would see too much of this money. In all likelihood, the new government would appoint a couple of agencies with the right political connections and these would skim the cream from the contracts and offer interpreters low rates.

I totally agree with John. I did many jobs in this country and found that agency rates were large but freelancer rates were small. Is this feature only for Asian language pairs?
