In initiative times, UN had 5 official languages based on the World War II big power alliances. Now UN moves more on economic and political aspects and many new languages have been added. China and India are the first and second populated countries and Hindi is the official language of the latter. There is no reason to decline this language: language is more critical if it has more speakers. In addition, Indian people are widely scattered into many regions of the world: Asia, Europe, America, Australia, Africa, Middle East etc.
