I recently read the translation and interpretation news in Proz on how the US military research and development project supports the language services in foreign countries. I cannot find the news/webpage links again but we the translators need to observe the technology progress that can threaten and enhance our professional practices. With more efficient computing processes and deeper level of globalization, these UK and US researches should extend to other languages at the same time. In particular, I emphasize the languages of the minority where access to Internet and international exposure are still slow. I trust in the language learning: a key tool for betterment of mankind.

At the same time, scientific standardization of language translation/interpretation is highly recommended since IT approach of language services will be more efficient.
