For the cost of one part time worker, a hospital manages to provide service in pretty much any language that its patients may need. I think that's pretty amazing value. I'd like to see any private organisation match that.

...and if they really have problems finding the money, let them sack one of these people with "management" in their title. I am sure that that would more than adequately solve the financial issue. After all, it isn't even clear what the people referred to (the managers, I mean) do, as there is no quantitative nor qualitative means to measure their "output".
