Hindi reaching commercial value May 22, 2013

In India, things are valued only when they get the stamp of appreciation from the West. Think yoga, which attained recognition only after the West took to it.

Similarly, Hindi will reach commercial value only when the Western world confers commercial value on Hindi. We in India have long relegated our regional languages to the back-burner, and choose to take the easy way out and use English to communicate. So the initiative to confer commercial value on Hindi will not by any means come from within India.
