A total waste of time-- attempting to translate poetry through computer programs
Jul 16, 2013
I even find it offensive. I think Google should fix their maps first so they don't show wrong streets in New York, and possibly other cities -- for them it is apparently the same if it is an avenue, a road or a lane, but sometimes the difference is a 50 minute walking distance, or you have to take a cab cab where there are none because trains don't even go there. It might be a better idea if city maps were created in the city to which they are related, and poetry was translated just by the people who love poetry.
Artificial intelligence is artificial intelligence after all. I'd rather look at a painting created by an elephant than read poetry translated by a computer.
