I believe that language skills have always been valued as an additional skill in the UK but not as a skill in itself. So you would have to be a qualified accountant, lawyer, IT consultant etc. with French, Spanish. However, you would be competing with other candidates on the basis of your core skills, e.g. your accounting qualifications and experience.
