Much as I like Trados, this is simply their usual guff, and in fac the sort of thing people hate about it - loads of unspecific waffle.
They have improved, but if you needed to know how to use the thing in practice, then independent commentators - Jerzy Czopik on this site, Peter Steffensen in Denmark and now Emma Goldsmith often were and are far more helpful!
