The Dawn of "Bae" Jul 15, 2016

Many of these internet slang acronyms are really funny and have actually interesting origins.
For instance, it seems that recently the word "babe" has acquired a shortened variant, that is..."bae"... Apparently, nowadays all the kids call their kid boyfriends and girlfriends like this.
According to Urban Dictionary that stands, as well, for "before anyone else", and for, mostly unrelated, "poop" in Danish. In addition to this linguistic certification, the word has been strongly popularized through rap songs and countless web memes since the mid-2000's. The most notorius example would be "Come Get It, Bae" of famous Pharrell and Miley Cyrus.
Internet slang words have the actual power to modify and change language itself, so you should know their story to get by in the modern world.
