The film aims to address important issues like linguistic profiling and discrimination while also showing that “understanding African-American speech is absolutely critical to understanding the way the Americans talk today.

This is a very important subject, I also believe that understanding African-American speech is absolutely critical to understanding the way African-American talk today.

I was always interested over this issue, as the executive producer Walt Wolfram mentioned, that African American speech is the most researched—and controversial—collection of dialects in the United States and has contributed more than any other variety to American English.

I believe that this is a very serious and excellent work.
