Our agency is taking on English to Arabic translation for the first time for a client targeting the markets of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Yemen region. Is the written Arabic for these regions all the same? What is the exact variety or varieties of Arabic that we will need when choosing a translator?

Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

It's much appreciated.

Hi,
All Arab countries use Modern Standard Arabic for written communications.
There are special cases where the client requires colliquial language variants, such as dubbing for a local community of a specific country. But as a rule, MS Arabic is the needed variant, and it's offered by the vast majority of Arabic translators.
Targetting a specific culture is something different, though. MS Arabic is still used here, but other considerations are taken into account.
