The DG Interpretation at the European Commission, also known as SCIC, has a channel on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/DGInterpretation . There are 9 videos at the moment. "Interpreting for Europe", in my opinion, is a must-see, because it is about the history of interpreting at the EU institutions. There is also a part in which the different types of interpreting are listed.
This is a video about the importance of using trained interpreters instead of untrained ones (e.g. family members who speak two languages and don't have any interpreter training). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNDVw9cA6Qc ▲ Collapse
