Off topic: Not sure this is where to ask
Thread poster: landlady
I was directed to this site as a possible solution to my needs, but still not sure that this is the right place and don´t want to insult anyone.
As a hobby I have set up a website to help Spanish & English people learn the others language through the use of dual language short texts and audio. I´m asking on my site for Native volunteers to send in their audio files of themselves reading these texts so that I can put a variety of speakers with different accents alongside the texts for language learning purposes.
I´m learning Spanish myself, so know that my translations are poor and am hoping to get some help from someone who has knowledge of both languages. Obviously before I ask for these Spanish texts to be read out I need them to be correct. The texts I need corrected are simple short stories, conversations, and some jokes.
If anyone is willing to help, or can tell me where I may find such help, I would be very grateful. I can let you know the site address via pm if you are interested in having a look at what I mean.

I understand that people want paying for their time - but I am providing a great deal of my time for free on this project as a small token in these financially hard times.
The whole point of my site is to have volunteers helping one another in learning another language without expecting or asking for payment, as I feel having knowledge of another language is one way we can unite as a whole and better understand each other.
I had hoped in the future to add more languages to the texts if the concept became popular. I haven´t seen another site quite like it, so thought it could be a good resource for language learners.
Just thought I would ask in this forum if anyone was interested in helping, but I cannot pay as I am retired to Spain and doing this voluntarily myself.
